The Double Peat Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml
The Double Peat is a blended malt that combines selected Islay and Speyside whiskies to create a sweet and smoky expression. Produced by independent bottler, Angus Dundee, the Speyside spirit in this blend is peated - thus the name, The Double Peat. As well as sweet smoke, there’s plenty of salt and medicinal flavours to enjoy, with subtle winter spice on the finish.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Smoky and intense with aromas of summer barbeques, grilled green pepper, embers and maritime saltiness, lifted with a grassy freshness
Palate: Layers of peat reek and olive brine intertwine, displaying flavours of streaky bacon, fireplace soot, wood spices and smoke
Finish: Notes of cigar smoke and liquorice slowly fade into tingly, sweet spices leaving a clove and anise linger on the tongue
