Costasera means "evening slope" and refers to the west-facing slopes that are said to produce the best Amarone wines. This is the Mathis "Basic" Amarone, painstakingly forgoing leather and date notes and chewy notes of coffee, molasses and black cherry.

Nose: Dried fruit, sweet spices, leather, dark chocolate and baked apple
Palate: Rich and round on the palate, the tannin texture comes to life in a concentrated sip. End with a long tail
