Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41, IW388309

The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 is the first model in the Performance Chronograph collection in a precious metal. The case, crown and pushers made of 18-carat 5N gold are combined with a black dial with gold-plated appliques and hands. The black dial with a lacquer finish is the result of a highly engineered production process. The totalizers at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock are individually finished and printed. The appliques for the indices, numerals and characteristic triangle at 12 o’clock are polished by hand, fixed to the dial and filled with Super-LumiNova®. An additional functional feature of this watch is the ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale. In combination with the chronograph, it allows the wearer to determine the average speed over a reference distance of one kilometer. The Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 calibre, which is visible through the tinted sapphire glass case back. The mechanical chronograph movement in a classic column-wheel design is engineered with an uncompromising focus on performance, reliability and precision. Accurately measuring stop times up to 12 hours, it features IWC’s characteristic vertical subdial layout. The hours are displayed at 9 o’clock, while the stopped minutes are shown directly at the 12 o’clock position, making them particularly easy and intuitive to read. The bidirectional pawl winding system reliably builds up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring. The watch is fitted with a black rubber strap with integrated EasX-CHANGE® strap change system.
